Watermelon Game App

When was the last time you were stuck with a long wait? Maybe a favorite restaurant was so busy, you had to wait an hour for a table. You might remember some days at the car dealership when hours passed before repairs were finally completed. What about sitting around at an airport until the next flight? Addictive app store games can help you eliminate boredom. You might want to bring a book, but if you’re competitive, you can challenge yourself by playing a game. So, what addictive App Store games (or Apple games) might you consider?

The merge watermelon games fit that description quite well.  Among the descriptive words Apple uses in reference to this type of game is: “…create giant melons and discover new types…Strategic fun.” These games are fun, simple, and addictive while encouraging you to use strategy and compete against yourself.

What is the Watermelon Game called?

Other activities with “watermelon game” in the title are out there, but the specific activity this review refers to is: “Watermelon Game: Monkey Land.”

Once you download the Watermelon Game: Monkey Land app, you’ll see a screen with a scoreboard at the top. One piece of fruit at a time will show at the top, and then all you do is click on the line connecting the fruit at the top of the screen. Drop the piece of fruit anywhere on the screen or ideally to add to your points, find the fruit that matches and drop on that one. As you merge pieces of fruit they change and become bigger.

Your score goes up, and the game ends when all of the fruit fills up the screen. The goal is to keep allowing space within the box/container-like structure, so you have more time to merge the fruits and acquire more points.

Due to the addictive nature of the game if you’re bored or trying to pass the time, such an activity is for you. Compete against yourself by trying to earn as many points as you can merging fruits.

I love the idea of earning points and trying to reach for a higher number the next time you play. Also, I appreciate how simple the game is to play, as some app games, etc. are so complicated, I ended up uninstalling them.

Creators of this particular game– Watermelon Game: Monkey Land– could improve the activity though by including an explanation or in-game outline of the point system—how many points you earn by completing activity x, y or z, etc. Perhaps a certain number of points could represent a certain level of achievement.

I didn’t see a way you can include other individuals in the same Watermelon Game app. If that was the case, the leaderboard would look different. Instead of just seeing the ranking of your best score for today, this week, and the total set of scores for yourself, the improved watermelon game experience would include other names on the list–your friends, relatives, etc.

I contacted the developer of the app to make this suggestion, and I’ll provide updates as they become available. Or…you may have come across an aspect of this app game that I did not realize was there. If so, feel free to reach out!

Summary

Download Watermelon Game: Monkey Land from the app store, and you’ll come to a screen where you begin dropping fruit and trying to merge similar ones together. As you merge them together, they change, and increase in size. Merge as many together as you can before filling the screen up with fruit and finishing the game. The more you merge together, the more points you end up with in the end.

You’ll find the game simple, fun, and addictive, but one which requires some strategy. Compete against yourself, but the game would be better if you could add others to the list to compete with as well.

Conclusion

I recommend giving Watermelon Game: Monkey Land from the Google App Store a try, especially if you are competitive and like to challenge yourself, and also when you are waiting for an extended period of time.
